Jesuit Communications Foundation in Manila is
developing a multimedia training course to be conducted at their new
training center, The Garage. It will be offered as an elective to
EAPI participants beginning in 2004.
Australia
Chris Gleeson, SJ is the new Director of Jesuit
Publications in Australia. Jesuit Publications plans to develop in the
direction of electronic media, gradually becoming the media hub for the
Province.
Taiwan
Ed Thylstrup, SJ, has joined the staff at
Kuangchi Program Service and is working as English editor for Kuangchi’s
two on-going, daily Children’s English TV series.
JESCOMEAO
Special Assistant Augy Loorthusamy was one of the judges on the
Ecumenical Jury at the 56th Locarno International Film
Festival in August. The jury awarded the Pakistani film KHAMOSH PANI
(Silent Waters), directed by Sabiha Sumar. Shortly after that,
Augy proceeded to Fiji and Tonga where he is again conducting
communications training sessions for seminarians and other church
personnel in the Pacific.
